Garden Minestrone

Garden Minestrone
3 C vegetable broth
2 C water
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes
2 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp sugar
2 onions, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans
3 carrots, sliced
1 zucchini, chopped
1 C corn, frozen
2 C green beans, frozen
¼ of a head of cabbage, chopped
1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans
2 C small pasta such as ditalini or elbow macaroni

In a large pot combine broth, water, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, parsley, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, pepper and sugar. Bring to a boil and allow to boil for about 5 minutes, then reduce heat to medium and add remaining ingredients except pasta. Simmer for about 1hour, stirring occasionally. Add pasta and cook for 20 more minutes or until pasta is cooked.
