Hoisin Barbeque Chicken

This is the best grilled chicken we have made this summer. A quote from my husband was " I had to stop eating everything else on my plate just so I could eat the chicken first because it was so good" I wish I had made a double batch. Our tries at bbq'ing chicken have been pretty bad in the past-I've wound up with raw chicken and really burnt chicken- this chicken was perfect.

Hoisin Barbeque Chicken
6 boneless skinless chicken pieces
Sauce:
4 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp water

Dry Rub
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp pepper
¼ tsp Chinese 5 spice powder

Combine all the sauce ingredients except the cornstarch and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water; add to the sauce pan and stir until sauce is thickened about 2-5 minutes. Set sauce aside. Combine all the dry rub ingredients and rub on both sides of the chicken. Grill chicken until almost done; during the last moments of grilling brush with the Hoisin sauce mixture.
