This is another one of my "go to" recipes when I have a busy day. I have tried making Marinara many different ways but no other recipe has tasted better than this one. Once in awhile for my mushroom loving daughter I'll throw in 2 (4 oz) cans of sliced mushrooms making it more of a vegetable marinara.
Marinara Sauce
1 (25 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 onion, diced fine
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
Combine all ingredients and simmer in a slow cooker for 4-5 hours on low or until done.
