Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Very nice days...I can't even complain.

Things that make me happy:
My chihuahuas, they are so loving and sweet.

What I'm enjoying on TV:
Not much....just renting assorted DVDs

On the menu for dinner:
Paprikash Chicken
Egg Noodles

On my To Do List:
500 things that will probably not get done since my mom will probably have to go back to the hospital again today since she is saying she is not feeling well.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
I made a great Grilled Lemon Thyme Chicken this week but I have not had time to type it up and post it yet.

In the craft basket:

Same stuff, I think the cats have been playing in it so I need to go check and make sure everythign is alright with it.

Looking forward to this week:
Getting a new driver's licence with my correct name on it. Not looking forward to the lines that's why I put it off for so long. We have been married for 2 years now I guess it's about time I changed my name.

  2. OH lemon chicken sounds so good!! I am like you...through out the week I come across some blogs and then forget them. LOL!

    Have a great week!

  3. Oh I hope your mom is ok. Let us know. Thanks for coming by my blog earlier. Here's how I keep the posts. I cut and paste Sandra's template into a word document then save as the upcoming Monday. When I run across the post, blog or recipe I like I just cut and paste into the template. It is all ready on Monday. Works for me. Give it a try. BTW come back to my blog if you have a chance there is a give way going on.

  4. Hi!
Your chicken sounds delicious. The picture is adorable. Have a great day!

    Food for Thought

  5. I am posting the Lemon Thyme Chicken recipe this morning. My mom has Alzheimers and Parkinsons-I am her caretaker. It's hard sometimes. I miss my mom-the way she used to be. Someone once told me that taking care of someone like her is like watching the person die twice. i didn't understand until I started caring for her. You watch the diseases she has steal everything she once had until she is just gone and then you watch them leave this earth. I've thought about putting her in a "home" but I just can't do that yet. We go to the Drs alot because you have her main problems and then the stuff that comes with it. It reminds me of when my daughter was little and she didn't have all the words to say what was wrong. My mom can't remember one moment to the next what she says or feels. I wind up taking her to the Drs just to make sure she is alright.
